Jack Rear maintains that the iPhone 13 is just as good – and that, in fact, the iPhone 12 from two years ago is the one to get. Jack also thinks you're better off sticking with a Google Pixel 6, whereas Rob would definitely upgrade to a Pixel 7.
"For at least a few years now, new phones have tended to be iterative rather than revolutionary, so if you find a good deal on an even older model, that's still worth considering," Jack says. "If it's less than about five years old, you’ll find a pretty good camera, lots of storage for photos and videos, a fully stocked app store and a good screen.
